Get MLM Leads – 3 Things You MUST Know To Get Targeted Traffic

Where do you get MLM leads?  I’m not talking about how to find a whole bunch of people who have NO interest in you, your product or your company (because those leads are essentially worthless to you).  Anyone can find a big volume of random leads.

I’m talking about getting laser-beam type targeted leads.  If you want to get MLM leads like that, there are three things you MUST know.

: Most people don’t evaluate different types of traffic based on the quality of the leads that traffic generates, and that is a big mistake — especially if you want to get MLM leads (good, targeted MLM leads that is). 

The truth is that your conversion rates will vary tremendously (both for prospect to lead and for lead to buyer conversion rates), depending on how someone found your squeeze page.  That is why you do not just want to know how to ‘get MLM leads,’ you want to know what kind of MLM leads you will get depending on the type of traffic method you use to get them.

Let me give you an example that may shock you.  Did you know that if someone clicks on a link in an article to go to your squeeze page, they are about 200% more likely to opt in to your list than if they clicked on a PPC ad to get to your squeeze page?  Not only that, but those leads from the articles are also much more likely to spend money after they’ve opted in than leads that you get from PPC advertising.

So when you talk about wanting to get MLM leads, one major consideration with that is to think about from where you want to get them.  Not all traffic is created equal, and that is truer no place than when you are talking about how to get MLM leads.

: There are really only two kinds of traffic: free and paid.  I know this one at first seems a bit silly.  You want to know how to get MLM leads, and knowing that there are two basic kinds of traffic — free and paid — is not a mystery to you. 

What you want to be careful about in evaluating free versus paid traffic to get MLM leads, though, is to understand that with a few exceptions, often “free” traffic isn’t really free.  No, I am not saying that there are actual hidden costs (i.e., that you have to spend actual dollars), but most “free” traffic to get MLM leads does come at a cost: YOUR TIME. 

Having said that, in terms of getting quality targeted leads, some of the best forms of traffic are free (i.e., don’t cost money).  I’ve already given you a pretty incredible statistic about the quality of lead you get from article marketing. 

One of the best ways to get MLM leads that is totally free is through joint ventures and list sharing.  You cannot get better MLM leads than through that.  Doing a list exchange like this isn’t difficult and it’s a great way to get MLM leads quickly — and lots of them — without costing you a dime.  Look for people in your niche market and create relationships with them. You never know what will come from it.

: You will hear many “experts” tell you that banner advertising is dead.  Don’t listen to them, as banner ads are one of the best ways to get MLM leads (and, actually, to get the most targeted MLM leads).

Why banner ads?  Well first, you can run them without emptying your bank account.  They are very reasonably priced.  Even better, though, is that they are a great yet underused source to get MLM leads.  Trust me that many of your competitors completely overlook them.

Here is how you use banner ads to get MLM leads.  Say you’re marketing a product in the weight loss industry.  Go to Google.com and type in “weight loss blog,” “weight loss information,” “weight loss forum,” etc – anything that would likely pull up a content rich website that discusses information about losing weight.

Click on every link in the search results for page 1 and 2 (no need to click on sponsored listings). What you’re looking for is popular websites that allow you to buy ad space on their site.  There are sites with tens of thousands of visitors every month (some had hundreds of thousands of visitors every month) that will allow you to run an ad(s) there. This is a simple yet dangerous way to get MLM leads.

The Secret Is Out: What Network Marketing Prospects Really Want To Know

As a network marketer, I’m sure you talk to prospects about your network marketing home business. In your discussion, you might find that as you talk about the company founder, the product statement for 1994, and the name of the rock formation in Estonia where the magic herb is found for your vitamin formula, their eyes begin to glaze over. Even worse, they might make a hasty retreat and go as far as to duck and run if they ever see you coming their way again! So, it’s fairly obvious that your prospect does not need this type of information. The question is what do your network marketing prospects REALLY want to know? Simply, the answer to these three basic questions:

1. What business are you in?

2. How much money can I earn?

3. So, what do I have to do to earn this money?

Answer these questions in an efficient, clear, and concise way, and you will find an interested prospect! Let’s get to business and see how this is done.

Question #1: What Kind of Business Are You In?

This is a reasonable question. I mean, who would ever join a business if they had no clue what it was about? Would you do that? I hope not! Therefore, when your prospects ask this question, you must be very clear so that they will not delay their decision Here’s an example of an example of poor answer to this question:

“I am in the global search for entrepreneurial talent, for time freedom and financial freedom, whereby they can enhance their efforts through multiple streams of residual income, thereby improving their lifestyle . . .”

Ummmmmmmmm. Anybody else confused besides me on that one? So, please don’t say silly things like this to your network marketing prospects. Instead, when you describe your business, you should use the “which means” words to connect your business to one of your products or services. This helps the prospect understand exactly what you do in your business. Here is what you can say:

“I am in the health and wellness business which means that we have a delicious nutritional shake that people drink which helps them wake up an hour earlier every morning feeling like million dollars, and fall asleep at night within five minutes of their heads hitting the pillow.”

Got it? Good. On to the next question.

Question #2: How Much Money Can I Earn?

This is an easy question to answer. You state an amount that you feel your prospect is interested in earning per month. If someone is looking to earn only a couple of hundred extra per month, you describe income. For someone who wants financial independence and work from home, the quote would be different.

If you don’t know your prospect well, all you would need to say ask if they were to make an extra income with your business, how much extra income are they looking for?

Now, on the last question your prospects will ask.

Question #3: So, What Exactly Do I Have To Do To Earn Money?

Isn’t that a reasonable question? I would want to know what I have to do as a prospect. Let’s give them a clear answer instead of saying things like “Oh, you just have to talk to people”, or “We are a wonderful sharing and caring business” By a clear answer, I also don’t mean describing the compensation plan or sharing with them the company history! Just tell the prospect approximately what kind of activity he will need to do earn a certain a particular amount of money based on what you told them when answering question #2. . For example, if you quoted 0 you would say something like:

“All you have to do is: between you, and everybody you talk to, and everybody they talk to forever and ever . . . find about 2 families who want to drink the shake so that they wake up in the morning feeling great and then you would earn an extra 0 a month.”

I would call this a clear answer to your network marketing prospect. They now know exactly what they have to do to earn that extra 0 a month.

Once your prospects have these three questions answered about your home business, you close with something like, “Well, what do you think” or “And that’s that.” Very simple. No haggling, hassling, high-pressure sales pitch here. You just gave them the facts and now the decision is up to your prospect.

Use these techniques and watch your network marketing businesses prospect interest increase by 100%!

Real Time MLM Leads – Things You MUST Know

In this article on real time MLM leads, you’re going to be exposed to different things you really need to know about before you take the plunge and spend your hard-earned dollars on any real time MLM leads.

Many network marketers fall into the trap and believe that because they are buying a real time MLM lead, that it is going to be substantially superior to an opportunity lead that’s three or four days old.  The reality is that while there is a difference in the quality of a real time MLM lead that is ‘hot off the press’ and a lead that is a few days old, there are other very important considerations you should you need to think about before you decide to buy any of these leads.

The downside — and what you need to understand — about real time MLM leads is that their value is in large part dependent upon your profit margin for each distributor you sign up into your business.  In other words, the quality of a real time MLM lead should not be the only thing you consider when you decide whether to spend the money to purchase them. 

Diving deeper, there are two important and very simple mathematical calculations you need to do to see if buying real time MLM leads would even make sense for your business:

One, calculate the lifetime value of a new distributor who signs up into your business.  Meaning, for example, if a new distributor joins your business and is on autoship for eight months, what does that put into your pocket? 

Two, and based upon the first calculation of the lifetime value, figure out how much your business can afford to reasonably spend to acquire a new associate (distributor).  For example, if you calculate that the lifetime value of a new associate is 0.00, that means that you can spend 0.00 to acquire a new distributor and that 0.00 is the maximum amount you can spend before you actually lose money.

Now one might say that some of these distributors are going to recruit distributors so that will increase their lifetime value.  That is correct, however, you need to assess the lifetime value on a “worst case scenario” basis so that you get real numbers to work with when you make your assessments.  You need to pretend that distributors will do absolutely nothing productive when you calculate their lifetime value in order to accurately determine if buying real time MLM leads makes financial sense. 

Instead of buying real time MLM leads, a far superior way of building your business is to focus on learning the skill set needed to generate your own leads.  There is a big difference in both the number of leads you convert and the retention rate of leads when you have prospects chasing you, as opposed to purchasing leads from a generic system in which your name is never discussed.

MLM Lead Program – What You Need To Know

In this article, I am going to outline what MLM lead programs are really all about.  I’m also going to tell you what you need to look out for if you’re considering an MLM lead program, and why you should consider creating your own leads instead.

There are a lot of MLM lead programs out there.  How most of them typically work is that they generate opportunity seeker leads, and then they sell them to you on a subscription basis.  Meaning, you agree to buy x number of leads at x price every month.

Generally I am not a fan of MLM lead programs. If you can find them inexpensive enough, however, I do think that getting leads through these MLM lead programs is a great way to build your phone skill set (which is an asset every network marketer needs to possess).

Here is the bigger thing to understand, though, about MLM lead programs.  There is a much better way of building your business.  The superior way to build your business is to learn how to generate your own leads.  That way is superior because it puts you in control top to bottom of every element of your marketing — from your data capture page to your emails to your sales pages.

One of the many drawbacks of MLM lead programs — as with purchasing ANY leads — is that it puts you in a very vulnerable position.  You are not privy to how those leads are created.  You are rarely exposed to the data capture page through which the leads opted in or to how often those leads have already been sold before you bought them.  So what happens many times when you call, is that you will get an angry person who is upset that you are the fourth person who has tried to pitch them.

If you’re truly committed to building your business, it is substantially in your best interest to learn how to create your own leads.  It puts you in charge of all of the marketing variables — and this can hugely impact the results you get (immediately and over the long term).
